Erik began tattooing in 1988 when he became an apprentice under Frank Romano of Peter Tat2 in West Hempstead.
Over the next several decades, Japanese style tattoos have become his specialty, and in many circles, he is known primarily by his traditional Japanese tattoo name -HORIFUDO
Erik has published several books of his work in this style, but remains focused on continuously learning and improving his technique through an ongoing study of art and tattooing.
